Sidewall Technology

Dualslant

The DUALSLANT™ sidewall technology is two angles combined to provide compression strength, as well as efficient energy transfer from edge to edge that increases the boards stability while riding through any type of snow terrain. The DUALslant™ sidewall technology offers exceptional torsional rigidity, excellent snap, and all-mountain versatility.

Vertwall

Our 80-degree sidewall construction angle is designed to provide the most efficient energy transfer from edge to edge and dampening properties, increasing the board’s stability while riding through any type of snow terrain. Slanted sidewall technology offers exceptional torsional rigidity, excellent snap, and all-mountain versatility.

Responscap

Our 45-degree cap-angle construction dispenses energy and pressure evenly from edge to edge for increased hold and a more solid ride. Precision engineered for torsional rigidity and all-snow-condition versatility. Cap construction yields a lightweight core with very low swing weight while maintaining structuralintegrity.

Tri-Axial Construction

This is designed to increase a boards responsiveness and edge grip by placing the fiberglass strands in three directions (0/+45/-45). This is one of the lightest fiberglass materials available. The +/-45 degree fiberglass direction focuses on the lengthwise flex while still maintaining a consistent stiffness throughout the board torsionally.

Bi-Axial Construction

The strands of fiberglass are positioned in 0/90 degree directions. This specific lamination increases the board’s stability at high speeds while maintaining a consistent, forgiving flex throughout the board.

Carbon Beam Technology

O-Matic has combined our fiberglass matrix with specifically placed kevlar and carbon beams to concentrate on strength, torsional rigidity and stiffness throughout our boards. This composite construction, combined with our sidecut technology, is designed to give a more responsive feel and consistent ride while performing any spin or technical trick.

Xbeam

Our XBEAM™ technology consists of two carbon beams placed in an X-pattern towards the tip and tail area that concentrates on strength, stiffness, and dampening properties. We then add a strip of Kevlar through the centre for its additional dampen-ing properties. This composite construction, combined with our sidecut technology is designed to give a more responsive feel and smooth, stable ride.

Ibeam

Our ultra-light dual Kevlar backbone gives the board stability and a smooth ride while the I shaped carbon placment gives added pop and longitudinal snap. The result is a less chatter at high speeds with the power to make your ollies go BANG!

Vbeam

Well our crack team of engineers went all out with this new process. The DualBEAM consists of several Non-Crimping High Modulus Carbon strands fused and stitched together in the 0 degree direction with the fibreglass composite strands. The combination V direction carbon dualBeams and Kevlar is designed to give a more responsive ride that is super smooth with tons of POP. This special integrated technology is designed especially for Omatic only and is super lightweight and will give you the most consistent ride everyday you hit the slopes.

Our boards are specifically engineered for every style of riding. Every layer of material that is placed in our snowboards is precisely calculated to meet our flex standards. Whether it’s a Men’s, Women’s or Junior board, all flex patterns are perfectly balanced making for a smooth, predictable riding snowboard. Our flex patterns include the Freestyle Flex Pattern, Versatile Flex Pattern, Park Flex Pattern, Junior Flex Pattern, Women’s Flex Pattern, and Big Foot Flex pattern.

Wood is Good!

We specifically choose wood for its liveliness, weight-to-strength ratio, and overall feel. Computer-aided machining allows O-Matic to profile our wood cores to an exact thickness throughout the board, giving you increased snap for better ollies and stability while riding at any speed. Each and every O-Matic board features wood from tip to tail.

Clevercore

Our lightest constructed full-length wood core. We fuse together two species of wood; poplar and a special hardwood which results in a more stable, light and snappy feel. Our NEW CLEVERcore™ incorporates air channels placed between the contact points, thus reducing the boards weight, at the same time improving the board’s turning ability from edge to edge.

Smartwood

Our SMARTcore™ is now 15% lighter than last seasons SMARTcore™. We continue to vertically laminate poplar wood cores from tip to tail. Th en we mill air channels between the bindings to provide a more flexible and responsive feel. The air channels placed between the binding points reduces the boards weight.

Intelligentcore

INTELLIGENTcore™ is constructed by vertically laminating poplar stringers together. The poplar stringers are strategically placed down the center of the wood core to provide a torsionally more rigid and quicker feel edge to edge.

Side Cut Technology

From turning at high speeds in pow to spinning back 9’s over a 60 footer, we understand how drastically sidecut effects overall performace of a board. Our sidecut technology has been refined to match the demands of today’s rider and each series. We have developed sidecuts that best match each style of board and construction.

Tri-Radial

Our TRIradial™ sidecuts are designed by blending three radii over the length of the edge. The radii are positioned slightly back allowing you to balance yourself while launching big airs.

Dual-Radial

Our DUALradial™ sidecut design incorporates and blends two radii for quick, smooth, arcing turns. Edge-contact points at the tip and tail are decreased, transferring the energy to the middle of the board making it less catchy and providing instant response.

Radial

We’ve developed a single-radius design that provides a smooth, consistent edge throughout the entire turn. This enables you to make smooth, predictable turns.

Sintered

Awesome, Celebrity, Super and Sweet Series all feature a high-density Sintered base materials with the perfect platform of our Slide-O-Matic stone finishing structure process, which delivers an extremely fast ride.

Sintruded

The Extr-Emo, Boron and Benatar this season offer a unique "Sintruded base" that combines the easy to fix properties of the extruded base with the better wax absorption qualities of a sintered base.
